Personal Profile

Carole Knight - The Person

Carole KnightWith an equal affinity for both the written and spoken word, Carole Knight has been a wordsmith for the past 25 years. Passionate about words and the dissemination of knowledge, her career path has included investigative journalism, professional platform speaking and corporate training; taking her over the past two decades to some incredible places and adventures, such as the time she sat in a boma at a game lodge just outside the Kruger National Park amidst a group of 600 cardiologists gathered for an international convention, marvelling at the combined brain-power of such an illustrious gathering.

It has enabled her to work with many leading organisations such as Nedbank, Delta Motor Corporation, Liberty Life, Sun International and Rennies Travel to name but a few client companies, as well as interviewing and writing about fascinating people such as Past President Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, President Thabo Mbeki, the late industrialist Dr Anton Rupert and world anxiety specialist, Dr Otis Baughman. It has also allowed her to participate in many outstanding experiences.

But most importantly it has allowed her to stretch and grow until her metier or true calling was found and expressed in the writing and publishing of her first book, “Miracles of Hope: Surviving and Thriving in the 21st Century”. This book examines the question of global survival in terms of pressing world issues and erroneous paradigms, answering many of the most important questions of this modern age.

Passionate about her work and most importantly her family, Carole has a great love for nature with her happiest moments being spent out of doors with the three most important men in her life, her husband Clive and sons Gareth and Morgan.

She loves the ocean and the majesty of mountains, especially those of the beautiful Cape Peninsula where she is lucky enough to live. She loves the heat, smell and varied wildlife of the African bushveld. She loves traveling to interesting new places and meeting fascinating new people. She loves gathering a group of friends and colleagues around her dinner table for good food, great companionship, lively discussion and heated debate. Carole enjoys her life and wants it to count for something.
